Overview

The Integrations module allows Alumnly to seamlessly connect with your Student Information System (SIS) or Student Management System (SMS). Once connected, Alumnly automatically syncs student and staff data — eliminating manual data management and ensuring your alumni community stays accurate and up to date.

With this integration:

• Students are automatically invited to Alumnly when they are marked as past student / alumni
• Staff records are synced and managed for administrator access
• No manual imports or updates are required

Two Ways to Integrate

Alumnly supports two integration paths. The right choice depends on what your school already uses and what your IT team prefers.

Option 1: Via Wonde (preferred)

Wonde is a secure data-sharing platform used by thousands of schools to safely share information between their student management system and approved third-party applications. If your school already uses Wonde for other applications (assessment tools, communication apps, learning platforms), connecting Alumnly through Wonde is the fastest and cleanest path.

Option 2: Direct Integration

For schools that prefer a direct connection between Alumnly and their student management system, we support direct integration with:

Direct integration suits schools that don't currently use Wonde, or whose IT policy prefers a point-to-point connection.

School Admin: Setting Up an Integration

The setup process differs slightly depending on which path you choose.

Setting up via Wonde (preferred)

Step 1: Confirm your school is registered with Wonde. If not, your IT administrator can register your school at wonde.com/au.

Step 2: In Alumnly, log in as an Administrator and navigate to Site Settings > Integrations.

Step 3: Select the Wonde tab.

Step 4: Authorise Alumnly through your school's Wonde portal. Your IT administrator will approve the connection and confirm which data fields are shared with Alumnly.

Step 5: Once approved, the integration is active. Students marked as alumni in your SMS are automatically invited to join your alumni community.

What Happens After Integration Is Enabled?

Once configured:

• ✅ Students marked as alumni/past students are automatically invited to join your alumni community
• ✅ Staff records are synced and managed for admin access
• ✅ Alumni and administrator data stays up to date without manual intervention

There is no ongoing maintenance required from the school.
