Fundraising module allows you to create, manage, and track fundraisers for your institution. Whether you’re raising funds for scholarships, infrastructure projects, or alumni support initiatives, Alumnly makes it easy to engage your community and track donations in real time.
Step 1: Accessing the Fundraising Page
Log in as an Admin on your Alumnly site.
Navigate to Fundraising from the main menu.
Here, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of your fundraising activities, including:
Total revenue generated from all fundraisers.
Fundraising setup for managing notifications.
Current Fundraisers – Displays:
Title – Fundraising name
Target date & time
Revenue – fundraising generated
Remaining – Amount remaining to reach the goal
Action buttons to view, edit, or delete fundraisers
Archived fundraisers – Past fundraisers you’ve completed.
Draft fundraisers – Fundraisers not yet live and require activation.
Additional options – Select fundraisers to archive, clone, or delete as needed.
Step 2: Setting Up Fundraising Notifications
Before creating fundraisers, we recommend setting up notification preferences.
Click “Setup” on the Fundraising page.
In the Fundraising Setup pop-up, enter the following details:
Fundraising Notification Email – Receives summaries of each donation.
Reply-To Email – Alumni receive donation confirmation emails from this email.
Comments Email – Notifies you when alumni comment on fundraisers.
Enable Fundraising Widget on External Website – Turn on the switch to allow fundraising to be displayed on an external website (e.g., your school’s website). When disabled, fundraising will not be shown externally.
Website Embed Code – Copy and paste this code onto your external website to showcase all fundraising created on your Alumnly platform.
Click “Save” to apply the settings.
Step 3: Adding a New Fundraiser
Click “Add New Fundraiser” to open the fundraiser creation page.
Fill in the fundraiser details:
Fundraising Title – The name of your fundraising campaign.
Short Description – A brief summary displayed in the fundraiser preview.
Main Description – Use the text editor to add detailed content, images, and videos.
Featured Fundraiser – Tick this option to highlight the fundraiser at the top of the page.
Enable/Disable Fundraiser:
Enabled – The fundraiser goes live.
Disabled – The fundraiser remains in Draft Mode until activated.
Fundraising Image – Upload a banner image for better visibility.
Target Date – Select a deadline for reaching the fundraising goal.
Target Amount – Enter the fundraising goal.
Suggested Donation Amounts – Define preset donation options, allowing alumni to select a contribution amount or enter a custom amount.
Click “Save” to continue editing or “Save + Exit” to return to the Fundraising page.
Step 4: Editing a Fundraiser
On the Fundraising page, locate the fundraiser you want to edit.
Click the Edit (pencil) icon under the Action column.
Make the necessary updates.
Click “Update” to apply changes or “Update & Exit” to return to the Fundraising page.
Step 5: Viewing Fundraiser Details
Viewing a fundraiser allows you to track donor engagement and contributions.
On the Fundraising page, click the View (eye) icon under the Action column.
From this page, you can:
See the list of donors and their contributions.
The “Widget Registration” column helps differentiate between alumni and external community members.
